Episode 101: Quinn's Letter:
This is Fraydo The Dragon Club: The Pen Pal Chronicles from The Kingdom of Aragon, Episode 101: Quinn's Letter. This is the Queen, by the way.

Hello, everyone. I'm Miss Courtney, your author and storyteller. In today's episode of The Pen Pal Chronicles, The Kingdom of Aragon gets a letter from Scotland. So come on, let's jump into the imaginary world of The Kingdom of Aragon and hear all about our new pen pal letter. Oh, but wait. In order to jump into the story, you need your imagination hat. Do you have your imagination hat on right now? If not, put it on now. And let's jump into the story together on the count of three. Can you count with me? Ready? One! Two! Three! Here we go.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The Royal Mail has arrived from The Kingdom of Aragon. l, Pee Wee The Dragon, The Royal Messengar, have a special correspondence for The Pen Pal Chronicles. It's a letter from Quinn! Who is from Scotland! Her Royal Highness, The Queen, will now open the pen pal letter from Quinn.
The Queen:
Well, hello, Pee Wee The Dragon. Excuse me, I meant The Royal Messenger. Oh, and of course, hello, Butterscotch! What do we have here?
Pee Wee The Dragon:
It's a letter, Your Highness. And it looks like it might be from far, far away. A place called Scotland.
The Queen:
That 'tis indeed a land far from ours. Now, let's see what Quinn from Scotland has to say. Oh, in fact, Pee Wee, the letter is for you!
Pee Wee The Dragon:
What? Me? Oh, I never get mail. I'm so excited.
The Queen:
Yes, yes. Well, there's a nice picture here of a small red dragon.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh, that's me.
The Queen:
And a rather large green dragon.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
That must be Fraydo The Dragon.
The Queen:
Indeed. And it looks as if Quinn has made this drawing here to make it look as if you both are flying around together and having a lot of fun.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh, yeah. It's a really good picture. But what does it say though? Will you read it to me please?
The Queen:
Yes, but of course! Let me see here. "Dear Pee Wee." That's you. "What do you like to do with your new friend? From, Quinn." Oh, now isn't that a lovely and well written pen pal letter. It starts with a salutation, which is the "Dear Pee Wee" part. And ends with a nice goodbye, which is the"From, Quinn" part. Lovely, lovely.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh, well. Quinn asks a good question. What do I like to do with my new friend? Huh! Well, that would be Fraydo The Dragon! And Fraydo The Dragon and well he always wants to go on a picnic and eat pickles because that's his favorite snack.
The Queen:
Oh, dear. That sounds dreadful to me.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh! I think it's fun. I like pickles. And I like picnics! And, oh, I feel good when I'm having a pickle picnic with my friend Fraydo The Dragon!
The Queen:
Well, then. That is mark of a good friend. A good friend makes you feel good.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Yeah. And we talk about a lot of stuff.
The Queen:
Oh, really? Like what?
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Well, Fraydo The Dragon was worried the other day that his friend, Little Fire...
The Queen:
...Oh, you mean The Baker's Apprentice?
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Yeah, The Baker's Apprentice...Little Fire. He was worried that Little Fire was annoyed with Fraydo. Because Fraydo, well, he is always stopping by and getting cheese biscuits from The Baker!
The Queen:
And, what did you tell Fraydo, then?
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh! I just listened because Fraydo was worried!
The Queen:
Well, that it is what a good friend does. A good friend does listen and is interested in what the other has to say. Is Fraydo a good listener, Pee Wee?
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Not always. But Fraydo is always very kind to me. Like the other day, a kid in the village ... well, he made fun of my small wings.
The Queen:
Oh, that is not nice at all.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Yeah. And I felt bad. So Fraydo, he told me that my wings .. well ... they were perfect and that the kid didn't know how to fly. So, what does he know about wings anyway. So, I felt better.
The Queen:
It sounds like Fraydo The Dragon is a very good friend. You needed help. And were feeling low and Fraydo helped put things in perspective.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Perspective what?
The Queen:
Humm, well, let's say... putting it another way... there's a saying that says,"No one should worry alone." So, by just being able to talk to Fraydo The Dragon about your feelings and your worries about your wings helped you to make it... not such a big deal.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Yeah, you're right. It's nice to have a good friend! Do you have a good friend, Your Royal Highness.
The Queen:
Well, humm. As The Queen, it is quite hard to make friends and I must say I'm not very good at it.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh, that's surprising. I, well, I thought you were good at everything.
The Queen:
Well, we all are a work in progress. Pee Wee, I do have a question for you.Why are you riding a horse when you can fly?
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh, well. I just am! I like horses.
The Queen:
Well. Okay, then. Any hooo! Thank you Pee Wee for delivering this pen pal letter from around the world. I am excited for your next delivery.
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Me too! It was nice to see you.
The Queen:
You too, Pee Wee The Dragon. Where are you off to now?
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Oh, well. Sir Conrad, The Knight, he's having trouble practicing the joust for The Kingdom Games coming up. And so, I thought I'd stop by and see if I could help
The Queen:
Well. That is very nice of you. It sounds like you are a good friend to many. Now, I must be off too. I have some pressing matters to attend to regarding The Kingdom Games as well. Until we meet again Pee Wee The Dragon. Toodle-dooo!
Pee Wee The Dragon:
Ok, then! Let's get going, Butterscotch! Tally Ho!
